Mental Check-up

Would you like to take some time to consider how you are really doing? During a Mental Check-up, we look at what is going on, what you are struggling with and what you need. A moment for reflection, new insights and identifying a suitable next step.

My approach

Personal, down-to-earth and focused on what really matters

You don't need to know exactly where your difficulties come from or which type of therapy you need. We start with what is happening in your life right now and explore together what you are struggling with, which patterns may be playing a role and what you need to move forward.

My approach is integrative. Rather than working with one fixed method, I combine different psychological and therapeutic approaches. Depending on your needs, I may use EMDR, ACT, cognitive and solution-focused therapy, hypnotherapy, mindfulness and imagery techniques.

We look not only at thoughts and behaviour, but also at emotions, physical responses and patterns that may have developed over time. Understanding where something comes from can be valuable, but ultimately therapy is also about creating meaningful change.

What you can expect

  • Personalised support – tailored to you and your needs

  • Practical and goal-oriented – not just talking, but exploring what actually helps you

  • Attention to underlying patterns – such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, insecurity or difficulty setting boundaries

  • Space for both emotions and rational thinking – without making things unnecessarily complicated

  • Short-term where possible – with clear goals and regular reflection on your progress

My style is open, engaged and down-to-earth. I listen, ask questions and, when helpful, hold up a mirror. Sometimes with humour and sometimes by gently challenging you. Not to tell you what to do, but to help you understand what works for you and make choices that feel right for you.
